I had a 93 325i w/ H&R Race (or DTM) and Bilstein
Sports Shocks. I bought a set of 98 MDouble Spokes
II (17x7.5f and 17x8.5r) with 235 40 and 245 40
A520 tires. Minder these are BMW wheels.

The front fitted fine. when i put the back one
fitted also, as I was trying to lower it to the
ground (from the lift), the tire sat on the
fender. WTF? I took out the wheel so see if there
was a spacer attached to it, and it there wasn't
any. I wonder, why was it like this? Luckly a 98
M3 came around saw the whole ordeal and asked me
if I wanted to trade my 8.5 for his 7.5, i said
sure, 20 mins later he came back on a pick up
and even trade.

Returned the 245 and bought 235 and fitted no
problem.

Good luck with your set up. aftermarket wheels
has different offset, as BMW, they like to keep it
1to7mm apart so they can fit all E36 chasis with
different lowering kits.

Wish you the best of luck with your rim choice
and when you are done, POST a pic! =)
