Yeah, I think you guys are prob rt. Tis likely a good way to blow out your gearbox and spend a lot of money on repairs. I heard that BMW's are fairly easy to do this with, and was wondering how accurate that statement was. I've driven my 325is for 6 yrs with conventional clutch shifting now and thought that this would be a lotta fun from a stop.

How about Heel-Toeing??? Does that help cornering by providing extra downforce through those really tight turns??? Anyone use this technique?

I was wondering how many of you out there ever short shift our E36's. By this I dont mean shifting early... I mean when you don't engage the clutch at all during shifting. I guess theres an rpm at which the gears are mated and you can just pull the stick straight down, say for shorting 1st to 2nd??? I don't have experinece with this but am curious what the correct rpms are.
