Hey guys, I just got a stock 96 328i, low miles, sport package etc and I have been bitten by the mod bug. Can't stop thinking about what I am going to do to the car etc. However, recently I have been thinking, maybe I'm going over board. Sure I'd like my ride customized with the basics such as a good sound system, etc. but do i want to plop down money for these mods. The reason I have been thinking this way is because I keep hearing you guys say that all the mods you do are not going to be worth shit when you sell the car. So to me, the 3000 dollars or so that it takes (including labor for some of the more serious mods) for these mods can instead be invested, to give you a pretty good chunk of change in several years towards a newer car (beemer of course) that has all or some of the mods as stock(better exhaust, better sound, better handling etc.)
Now I think i'll end up doing some mods anyway, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought?
