You are totally right about mods. The wrong ones can be a waste of money and when you go to sell your car they won't get you much more money than the next guy's stock car, but don't you want to have a car a little different than the guy at the light right next to you? In my neighborhood in Southern Cali you'll see at least 6 Bimmers at every light and it gets annoying seeing the same ones and it's good to have a car that looks, sounds and performs better than stock. I think it's definitely worth the money to do some moderate mods because they'll be fun while you have your car.
