my obc has not worked ever since i had my car, at night when the headlights are on, the buttons light up, but not the display area. i have been advised to change the bulbs, which i did to no avail. i took the car to a bmw mech., the guy didnt even run any tests, he just told me that if the buttons are lighting up, means the obc is getting power, and the its fried. I REFUSE to believe that, now all you electrically inclined bimmer enthusiasts, can you please tell me how i can really confirm that the obc is bad myself? before i go and shell out $200 for a new one only to install it and find that it too doesnt work!.. maybe due to soemthing else.
thanks .

I reackon it's fried! Ive had a bit of experince with OBC's and the one's Ive seen that have been fried had the same symptons as yours . Why not try a BMW breakers they normally let you try them first , also it should be a lot cheaper that way
Paul
