Just unscrew the airbag off your steering wheel.
The whole airbag will fall out. You will then see a wire behind the airbag. Carefully unplug it. Without juice to the airbag, you have just deactivate it!

to avoid the risk of the airbag getting triggered to blow during your removal, you can unbolt your battery first. When I removed my steering wheel, I didn't do this and the airbag didn't blow so if you want to take the chance you can.

But note that once your airbag is unplugged, you'll get that annoying SRS light staying on. You can place a piece of black electrical tape to cover it like I did.

good luck
