E36's tend to do this on uneven pavement. It gets very pronounced if you use larger diameter or wider wheels. If you are describing what I think you are, it is really bad just as you come to a stop and the more rutted the pavement the worse it pulls. This is called trammeling. M3's get around this problem by having radically different upper strut mounts to slow the steering down. There are other ways to get around the problem too. A wheel alignment can help but sometimes it is at the expense of rapid tire wear. Check you pressures first and go to the highest pressure you can stand keeping within the limits of your specific tires. This will tend to reduce pulling. Also aftermarket swaybars will help. A cheaper way to do nearly the same thing would be to add urethane bushings to your stock sway bars. I have done everything listed except M3 upper strut mounts and the pulling is almost gone.Chris
Hi
I have a 1995 e36 325i sport package. When I brake, the car pulls to one side pretty hard. It is more pronounced at low speeds. Any ideas what this could be and what I can do about it?
Thanks in advance.
