You have to know that you opened yourself up for flames on this one! I can understand your distress on the subject of major mods, but the simple fact is you have a 1.8L and you will only get so much out of it, just like I can only get so much out of a 2.5L If speed, hp, and tq was your main interest, well you just bought the wrong car.

I of course have no problem with any of the posts here (well except maybe the ones that tend to insult one another for NO apparent reason). I appreciate yours and everyones posts for everything is eventually, if not right away, helpful!

Now, onto the subject. I don't frequent the other forums, but I did a quick search just to see what kinda contribution your previous posts have been on the subject at hand (that is what you consider real mods):

a very happy 1992 318i owner...: where you proceed to talk about your own experience with INTAKES,sport differential, and oil changes/Maintenance!

list of simple mods: in which you suggest mods as Intakes, cat-backs, and hint on heads/cam work. Yet you don't provide any true info on mods (the single thing you just got pissed off at all of the bimmer.org members for doing!)
