NE 1 have any recommendations for a local independent mechanic who can change the oil & filter on my E36 WITHOUT charging a fortune??

The $tealer wanted to charge me over $70 for 5 quarts of synth & a filer WITH labor ... OUTRAGEOUS!!

Also ... at what points do you folks chane your oil? I have put 6K on the clock since I bought the car CPO and ONLY 1 GREEN LIGHT has gone out (I drive mostly highway miles) ... even the service tech was surprized that with 8.5 K miles only 1 light went down...

Any recommendations would be appreciated!!

that computer is way off. Should be one lite per about 2-3k miles. Ever try the Little Garage in queens?
