Yes it does plug in but you have to order the correct one that will work with your head unit. I got one off this board and it was an Alpine type for the correct year of my car. It plugged right in but did not work. The head unit did not recognize it. Turns out I needed a different part number (pioneer type). BMW apparently standardized the plugs but not the units to the point of being universal. Get out your manual and make sure the part number matches the one called out. It will save you a big headache.Chris
is bmw dealer the only good place to add/install a cd changer ? my car doesnt have it but it does have the cd button on stereo so im guessing it only needs th back component. any good suggestions for which one to pick also ?
