who has installed Eibach Pro's w/o upgraded shocks (archive)

just want to know if its bad for the car not to upgrade shocks when you get lowering springs.
Eibach Pro Kit (1.5/1.0) 1992 318i. I want to install this weekend.. but need advice.. no shocks.
