1997 318I Man Trans - Rough Idle with A/C on (archive)

When the engine is idling, with A/C on, the idle will take a gulp... dropping a couple hundred rpm, and then recover to normal idle speed.

I am not sure if this happens every time the compressor cycles on... or if its random.

Anyone experience this??
