You know what you should do? Just ask if he would go w/ you to get the car checked out by a mechanic...see what the mechanic says, and how much the work is gonna cost to fix wutever is messed up w/ the car...if that price is reasonable...then it might be good to take the car...$6000 in itself is DIAM cheap for a '92 325i though...but if the cost of repairing it is gonna add another $6000 to the car...then ur probably better off buyin' a more expensive but less sketchy history 325i somewhere else.
