i've got this annoying rattling noise from under my car for a couple of months now. it starts making the noise only when my engine is cold and after about two minutes, it stops. but lately it takes longer and longer for it to stop the rattling noise. the noise sounds like those neon lights you leave outdoors that kills bug and flies when they fly into it. like that zapping noise. anyway it gets really annoying because i mean c'mon im driving a BMW and it's making the whacked ass noise from under the car. i had my dad look at it and he says that the noise is coming somewhere from the power steering unit. has anyone experienced this?? is it something fixable or do i need to replace the whole thing?? please help. im getting my car back from the autobody shop tomorrow cause some guy rear ended me and i wanna get rid of that noise.

just asked pops again and he says that one, the noise might be coming from the power steering pump or two, it could be from the power compressor clutch....
