Even if you get new disks they will only remain rust free until it rains. What you need to do is wipe the hub right up to the disk with thinner to remove any oil or brake dust. Get a non metallic paint remover disk and use an electric drill to spin it. Remove all the rust off the hub, wipe it again with thinner then prime with a light gray rustoleum primer. It is a good idea to shield the disk to minimize the paint that will get on it. I would not mask it because the adhesive left behind by the tape is just as bad as the paint and is a lot of extra work. Also the first time you hit the brakes the paint on the disk will come off anyway. If you do a good job the rust will not return. If you are a little light in some areas you will see th erust return. Simply do this again. Use a similar process to paint the calipers while you are at it, just add an enamel top coat in the color of your choice. Red Devel Enamel works really well for brakes, comes in lots of fun colors, looks like powdercoat even if brush applied and is available for cheap at any hardware store.Chris
