Yeah. I've seen them on an E36 M3. I'm not sure if they fit without spacers, it depends on which E36 model you are talking about. But they will fit. They looked pretty damn cool too. Don't have a pic though. Talk to the tirerack guys and I'm sure they can help you with the fitment.
