Mid 14s, with a chip, noooooooooo. You said "about", so you haven`t done it on a track? Tell me facts!
I ran a 14.95 bone stock when I got my car (it's a 98). The mags list the 1/4 times as 14.7-15.3 for a stock manual 328is, so it wouldnt be unreasonable to make claim mid 14s based on the mods I have.
BUT I also am basing it on other races I have had, for example a friend's 290 hp Lexus SC400 (he WAS racing me) that I beat (and have repeated), and a few Boxsters, as well as others. Maybe my car is faster than most 328s, I don't know. I can't get to a track to verify it for you, sorry.
I NEVER SAID I just have a chip. My posts list my mods: Jim C software, 3.23 gears (vs. standard 2.93), underdrive pulley, lightweight forged wheels, plus intake mods and elimination of the low rpm exhaust silencer.
Then, it doesn`t meen your car is faster if you get a race in the town! You have to be sure the other guy is racing, too!!!!!!!!
Don't be silly. So you're saying running 80 in a 50 and accelerating hard isnt racing? I'm not going to bust on you too badly for that statement because you weren't there, just suffice it to say that I know when people are and aren't trying to race with me. Usually they instigate it.
I did 14.5s with my M5. You never keep up with me!
No offense, bud, but I've never raced you. If you mean I WOULD never keep up with you then perhaps we'll see. Please don't go making claims that can't be proven, or that suggest we have raced when we clearly have not. Again, I'm not going to bust on you here, because English probably isn't your primary language, and you probably didn't mean it that way. By the way, is your M5 an E28 or an E34? I had a 535i try to run with me once...that was pretty funny. =)
