Dash needles and service lights flicker..... (archive)

Just curious if anyone has ever had a problem with some type of short in the dash which causes all the needles on the dash and all the service lights to light up, just as though u were starting the vehicle. This happens while I am driving, I dont lose power or headlights at all....but it appears all the power to the dash needles etc. goes out....then they instantly come back up to where they belong...very quick losses of power.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
