A cold air intake means that it has a heat shield that keeps the engines heat from getting to the air filter. This way, the cool air coming into your radiator goes straight into your intake. For the same price as the bavarian auto one, you could get an ECIS Cold Air Intake (maybe even cheaper???). Many people from this board have them and they are very happy. It is probably the best value CAI you can get. Check out their website by clicking below.

I've been shopping around for intakes and I was wondering if anyone purchased the one from bavarian auto. Does anyone know if this intake is a cold air intake? What is the difference between a cold air intake and a regular intake? Appreciate your responses?
