I made one about two weeks ago. Its doesnt look exactly like the ecis, but it still works like a charm. I went and bought a big K&N air filter and some 3inch hose to connect from the air filter to the airflow meter. Then i took some insulating material which they use for air conditioning units (its aluminum on one side and dense fiberglass insulating material on the other). In anycase, i used cardboard to get an idea of how i should cut the pieces. When i was done i cut them out of the insulating material and covered them with aluminum on both sides. I also made a hole for the temperature sensor... Then i took another piece of insulated plastic and covered the top with it, and cut it to fit the enclosure along the top so that the K&N filter has its own enclosure. ALso, i used the factory piece which brings air into the air box. I left it in place to constantly refresh the chamber with fresh cold air. I measured the temperature yesterday and it came out about 65 degrees colder in the air filter chamber than in the engine compartment. Plus, it sounds really good and i noticed a considerable increase in acceleration
