It looks like they are selling like hotcakes. Thos came out about the same time as the 330CI. So far I have seen 2 330CI's on the street and a boat load of 300is's. If they continue to sell well you can bet the next generation of Bimmers will also come with chromed non oemish looking 17" or 18" wheels and tricked out lights. I don't think this is a bad thing. It will eventually drive down aftermarket prices too. I'd love to pay $50.00/ea for a set of 235/35/18 Pole positions. So start getting used to it now.

Chris

While I do own a BMW, I find such comments repulsive. Both are good in their own right, and both have style to suit the customers who will buy them.

Personally, I think the new Lexus is an excellent first effort for Toyota, and with a little bit of tweeking here-and-there may even outshine the 3 Series, particularly when it comes to reliability, and price.

The bimmer has the "BMW feeling" (and snobish appeal), which you can not produce - you earn it over a long period of time.

If you are going to be car bashing, here is one for you, "I think the new 3 Series BMW is a piece of German shit compared to the Alfa Romeo 156!". So, there!

As far as I am concerned, all cars are OK. Some are more competent than others, but at the end of the day, they'll all do me. That's because, I am a car lover, not a marque fanatic (except for Alfas).
