Now that its winter time and the temperature is below 35 degrees, my engine makes a ticking sound when the engine is cold. After I drive for about 5 miles the sound goes away. Whats the problem??? I havea 92 318is with 104,000 on it and this is my first winter with it.

Went to a BMW specialist to get the same thing looked at today. He changed the oil and filter and voila ticking be gone !!
