I live in los angeles....BMW capital of the world. I drive a 94 BMW 318is...with some mods and upgrades. Well...over this weekend...i decided to get together with some friends...mind you females. Well ended up going to a night club....Salsa type of place. Upon arrival....well..saw that there was valet parking...i personally did not want to go through it or have these people from valet parking park my vehicle...hence...my prior experience with Valet. Well the night was good in the club...upon exiting....my vehicle was turned over to me...no probs...right..well...i was like three blocks away from the club...will not mention the name....but...this was a trendy place. Lord and behold...my light indicator on the dash board was on. The one that indicates....air bag. Well...i turned around..went back and went through valet...parking and got off and spoke to the people there and demanded an explanation toward my situation. I clearly stated to them that the vehicle was turned over to them in good condition without any problems. Well the guys there...acted somewhat like i do not know what your talking about...and after speaking with the manager there...he seemed to act the same way. Well...next day i filed a report with PD....also called dealer and had vehicle inspected...it turns out that these bastards wanted to steal my air bag on passanger side. I got report from them...stating that vehicle was being tampered with...took some pics of air bag side passager seat...it clearly looks like someone was tampering with vehicle. Well..went back to club next following day....at night..went through valet...stoped and left my car with blinkers on to the annoyance of the parking attendants....got their info...got the clubs info through manager....told the bastard the situation and warned other loyal club goers about my story......gona sue these bastards. To all of you who think valet parking is cool and people will see your vehicle when they bring it....think about it...is it all worth it when your vehicle is what you treasure and spend good hard earned money so some idiot or bastards can take advantage of a situation. If i had the vehicle parked on the street on my own...and if this happened...i would understand....but when you think by turning over your keys to these people on valet...your car will be protected...instead you recieve the risk of it being tampered with. I thank BMW vehicles for letting you know that their is a problem. I can imagine how many people have had their vehicles tampered with and with no avail not know it. Anyways.....would like some feed back....People...look out for your vehicle.
