Just bought a 318i...Some questions (archive)

I purchased a 1993 318i on Friday. So far I love the car. It's much better than I expected for a 1.8L 4cyl. I have a few questions about the car though. Please answer whatever you can.

1. When on the highway the revs seems very high. In 5th gear at 70mph the engine is spinning at 4000rpm. Is this normal?
2. My speedometer doesn't light up anymore. Anyone know how to replace the bulb? I did this on my E30, but it doesnt seem to be the same.
3. My clock/temp display seems like some pieces of the numbers are missing, but if viewed from another angle they can be seen faintly. The bulbs are working. Is this normal?
