my dad got an Audi A8 today......wow (archive)

Well, Ive just come back from a day of driving my dads new toy, an Audi A8 4.2 Quattro. I must say, Im very impressed...Its a big car, but BIG power too. I was playing about with the manual shifting, and I felt right at home with it.....but, power...power.....more power....I love it !!!!!!

Coming from a 318is, its obviously going to feel powerfull to me. Looking at the figures, its supposed to be 6.9 sec 0-60 and then I look at an E36 328is for which I find a best time of 6.2 and 14.7 quater mile.....the A8 from this source is 6.7 and 15 sec.

Basically......is a 328is going to keep up with the A8 even though it really does feel vastly powerfull.

I was on the lights at one point, and there was an E36 320 coupe....I seriously left him for dead, no contest whatsoever, like two or three car lengths straight off the line.

Anyhow....what I want to know, is will a 328is feel as powerfull as this ? the 328is is the next car I want to get in about 6 months....but I must say...Im considering perhaps an audi A4 Quattro.....perhaps S4....but I prefer a coupe style like the bimmer. Obviously M3 is the car of choice, but unfortunately, insurance premiums are simply insane....�1k more than S4.
