If he's looking at a '97 or an '01 there is a good chance his parents are the kind that don't want him in an "old" car. They would think mine is too old and is therefor unreliable. Its BS, but thats how some people feel.


I understand, I bought my 1992 325i, with 150k miles for 8500. Normally I wouldnt, but this guy was the original owner, and I knew for a fact that all miles were highway. Not to mention the service records for EVERYTHING, including almost every oil change. Car works fine, and looks brand new. My point is, just because its not less than 3 years old, doesnt mean it wont last long.
