If you are using the garage door to aim them that may be what the confusion is (besides using the wrong adjustment). use the allen screw adjustment to aim the lights. Go back and center then housings like Pika says, so they blen in with the body work. Use the alen adjusters to aim the lights. if you are too close it looks like nothing is hapening. Get back away from the garage and aim at something farther away. Then go for a drive. I am sure there is some spec that says 10 mm drop at 20 feet or something like that but good luck actually finding a perfectly level area that you can make a measurement that accurately. I simply go for a short drive on flat relatively pavement and try to make the lowbeam tangent with the horizon. Any more up will start to blind on-coming cars and any further down you are cheating yourself. It usually takes about 4 tries to get it right. So you may have to drive around with a wrench for a while.Chris
Well, I'm still working on getting these things aimed right. It seems like they STILL are too low, even though I have both top adjustments all the way up. Perhaps the lower mounts need to go "down" to allow it to adjust more up???
I did get them a bit higher, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I was getting kinda disappointed, but now can see they will be better than stock once aimed correctly. The allen wrench adjustments on the assembly does WHAT? They aren't labeled. I turned them, but it didnt seem to matter much.
