When you buy a car CPO BMW extends the warranty to 6 years 100K miles. So for example, if you buy a CPO car that's 3 years old with 40K miles, you get a 3 tear 60K mile warranty. Mine ended up being 3 years 50K miles, so i'm looking for driving trips so that i come close on time and miles so i get the maximum use out of it!

The good part about it vs an aftermarket warranty is that it's much closer to bumper-to-bumper, the work will be done at a BMW shop with BMW parts, etc. A lot of aftermarket warranty places will do things like disqualify a lot of repairs, use the cheapest aftermarket rebuilt part they can find, and pay you 50% for a part that they figure is 50% worn becuase they figure they're giving yo extra value for a newer part. The BMW warranty will also tow you to the nearest BMW dealer from wherever you break down. Plus you get free roadside assistence, not that i've ever used that.

Anyways, i mention that because i figure you might be looking at a new cheaper car for the new car security, and you don't *really* need to.
