I hit six in first and second every time in pull away from a light, third when I highway merge, and I've been doing it for 5 years and 120 000 km, and it already had 90 k when I got it. I'm not surprised the car is falling apart, I just want something new. In all fairness, it's held up way better than my Audi did.

I went through a spell where i didn't know what was makin my car run bad...But it turned out that all i had to do was clean the plugs and plug tubes ($2 for cleaner). Only thing that went bad so far is the Clutch and the brakes....BUT THE car has 132,000 miles on it, that is a given...My car is a tank. (knockin on wood here). I don't drive like an old lady either. My car see's the post 6,000 rpm mark once or twice a day.

I do go through rear tires pretty quick, but that is my fault.
