Since we in the UK have never heard of Chevron or Sunoco - anyone ever noticed any difference between Shell, BP, Texaco, Total, Caltex, Tesco etc ?

Only thing I've heard is this:
The guy at BMW car mag with the red 325i coupe complains of pinking when he uses anything else other than BP

So BP seems to have some sort of advantage - at least for him
