do a little cisual check before spending the money. to check it, get under that car and look around the tranny area. In case you don't know what it is, it's looks like a donut shape, should be black rubber with around 6 nuts around it. It join the tranny sharp and the drive sharp. The drive sharp runs all the way to the rear differntial. Check the nuts (maybe 3) the tight the drive sharp and the diff too.
Good luck.

i have a 92 325i sedan with 124k miles on it...
as of lately when accelerating hard in 2nd gear i can hear a shuddering and feel vibration in the driveshaft area....then it will go away....is this the guibo? I'm getting it changed this week...any info is appreciated. Thanx and happy new year =)
