what are the best plastic headlights to get? (archive)

One of the glass Euro lights on my car was just shattered by some road debris. I think some plastic lights may be in order to prevent this happening again. What are the best E36 plastic lights to get, Euro compact, US full size, or US compact? Are the US full size one's really that bad compared to the Euros, or is this just a case of you US guys wanting what you don't have?
