e36 325is tranny 3rd to 2nd (archive)

I am conidering purchacing a 1995 325is. Everything looks and feels tight except there is a little shudder?? when manualy putting the car in second from third with no throttle in both Econo and Sport modes. Second to First feels extremely smooth. Anybody ever hear of this? It's not really that noticable but still concerns me. Filter/Fluid change maybe?? Thanks for any input.
