When I took my lid off I noticed 4 foam 'pillows' (little squares of foam 1"x1") at the very rear of the deck that support it, maybe one of those is missing? regardless, try pressing around to find where it's weak/loose then take the lid off and brace underneath with some folded up cloth or something soft
