Mine is hooked up at the left rear tailight plug, just tapped off behind the plug.

Brown is ground, Blue/red is + for the brake light. There is a chance ours are different. I would use a volt meter to be sure before splicing the wire. Be sure to test it with both the lights on and lights off.
