From your conditions it sounds like a hard case to beat.
In California you can take traffic school every 18 months. Depending on the county you were ticketed in, you may be able to take it online. If you are ineligible for traffic school your only other option is to set a court date as far out as possible. Then hope the officer is a no show. In a span of 12 months I received three traffic tickets, I beat the first one, took traffic school for the second, and the officer didn't show for the third. So currently I have no tickets visible to the insurance agencies. I know this because I have asked for the driving history that they use to determine my rates.

Also I believe that it is California law that your insurance rates cannot be affected by one ticket if you otherwise have a clean record. How long until that ticket is cleared, I'm not certain.
