Is it similar to lojack except it radios where it is instead of just sending a beacon signal? Could be similar to something ham radio ops have been experimenting with for years called APRS. With APRS software a 2M radio and a GPS reciever you (and a lot of other people) could track your car from across the country if you wanted. The whole setup would be about $250.00 (license required though).

I have a very good aftermarket alarm, Defa with GPS tracking.
