I'm an NZ'er living in London. Those prices are staggeringly high - clearly the string of cheap imports from Japan didn't touch BMW prices. THen again, most BMWs in NZ had many options as standard - unlike UK. e.g. aircon

Here the Glass's Guide (supposedly an authority on used car values) values a 1992 325iSE with 50,000 miles (80,000km) as follows:

Your valuation for a
1992 K with 50,000 miles
New £ 22885
Excellent £ 5210
Average £ 4650
Poor £ 3970
Retail £ 6400

At current exch rate of about 3.3 that makes the retail $NZ 21,000 - a far cry from the $30,000 you mention.

just wonderin - what is market $$ for late model
bimmers?
eg in NZ a 98 328i is approx $60000 up (USD30000)
92 325i $30000 (USD15000)
