Bumper Apron Ding ....Help!!!! (archive)

OK. I don't seen to be getting much of a response on the E46 board...and someone said that I would be back and sure enough...
Someone must have dinged the car I bought during a parallel park and there is a couple of minor scratches but worst of all is that the plastic has a little ridge which is quite visable when the light hits it.
It doesn't show up all that well but I took a shot anyway to post.
Can this be sanded/filled and repainted or do you need to replace the whole apron? Has anyone had this before?
Nice excuse to get a RD apron as well if it needs to be replaced.
