it's so sweet - you can differentiate between a cruiser coming @ you or going away w/instant on, coming up behind you with instant or constant or laser, hiding begind a rock, etc. just got back from skiing in VT and after a little learning process was able to tell where the signals were coming from, how far away, what type of radar (instant on is killer, but you can tell when it's being used). i never used the v-1 but from all i've read on it and my recent experience with the 8500, the passport blows it away. it even tells you when he's up in front of you going in the same direction. did you get anything yet? i'm installing my lidatek laser jammer this week, will report back.
