Vanos does work!!
Friend of mine has a 1992 325 i and I have a 93 325i.

THe difference is basically fuel consumption. He averages, 16.5MPG and I average 18.8 MPG both in the city.

With this difference in consumption, I am assuming my car has more torque because it requires less gas pedal to keep it moving.
Both engines produce same amount of HPs.
