My check engine light came on today. But engine was running fine, wasn't over heating etc. As I slow down the light would go off for a bit. I pulled over, checked stuff out, everything *looked* fine. When to start it back up and it wanted to die, but if I gave it some gas I was running fine. So I took it home - It ran no problem. I still have all my power, etc. I pulled it in the garage and pulled out my book, I tried doing the "press the accelerator 5 times in 5 seconds" thing to trigger the diagnose mode but It wouldnt work, probaly because i dont have the DME or whatever computer the book was talking about so the book said I have to take it in.

When the engine is warmeed up the engine will run fine. But engine like sticks on.

I noticed my oil was JUST below the low line so I added 1/2 a qaurt of oil but that didn't help.

Any ideas before I bring it to the shop to have it checked out?

Thanks
Jason Roozee
