mine does the same thing. The belt had to be changed at 59K, and also at this milage you might wanna check the thermostat. mine went out at exactly 60K (it's 318ti 1995 auto)

a manual 1995 with 60K miles and have a few questions that I'm hoping this board can help me with. Am taking this car to a mechanic if I'm seriously considering it. I would like to understand this car better:

1) Is the timing belt/chain due for a change if it isn't done yet? How much does this approxmately cost?
2) Is it normal that the airbag light takes ~2 minutes to go away?
3) Both seats were kinda creaky (driver's creaked between gear shifts). Is there a quick fix/cheap fix to this?
4) Is there anything else I should look out for?
All the VIN stickers are on the panels and except for a few dings, the car seems clean.
