always wash in the shade/out of the sun/car not hot. if you can not do the latter, then keep entire car wet until finish washing. then can squeegee off excess water, then immediately cotton towel off remaining water before it dries( i repeat, before it dries) into water spots beginning with the glass.
works well. also i use a common car wash kind to car wax/polish.
i must be feelin long winded. i might add, then:
i have totally stopped using caustic wheel sprays, since brushes are needed for wheel crevices anyway. use a soft dusting brush with handle easy on paint. since i use the bucket/ handled dip brush method, i finish the wash of wheels with the same bucket i began to wash the top of car.
