Kind of a big problem with a 325i (archive)

Hi everyone,

I'm having a bit of trouble with a 95 325i. The check engine light is coming on quite frequently, and everytime it does so, I can feel an engine misfire. Upon reading the fault codes, it's telling me that injector 4 is problematic. OK, so I then checked injector 4 and it is fine. The only other option in the manual is to replace the brain. So here's my question: is there any other way to fix this problem without going down this expensive route? If no, how much should I expect to pay for a new computer (no problem buying used), and is there anyone out there with good recommendations on where to shop? Thank you for the info.
