You can put an M3 clutch and flywheel into a 328, but you have to do them both to fit. The clutch will give you a better performance, but the flywheel won't make a difference. It will only make the M3 clutch fit the 328. If you want some real difference from the flywheel, go for the 12 lbs flywheel from AA. It costs aroud $700. Personally, I didn't want to mess with the flywheel because it would hamper with the smoothness of the engine harmonics. Many people might argue with that versus the benifits from getting a lightened flywheel. So, what I did was to order a custom kevlar compound clutch from Paeco Industries. Kevlar is the material used in bullet proof vests. It is very strong, will last a long time, and it also comes with a stronger pressure plate. The clutch kit costed me $562 + S&H. The clamping force is phenominal, but not totally irritating. Yes, it is a lot more forceful than the stock clutch, but chirping your tires from a second to third shift is just too sweet a feeling; that too with 18" rims. I also know that centerforce sells a clutch kit for the 3 series too. But I'm not sure that there is one for the 328. I think that it is only available for the 325 and the M3. Now I have not idea whether the 325 clutch will fit directly into the 328. I do know that this clutch only costs around $400 something. Hope this helps.
