Do these different wheels you mentioned weight the same? Or BBS ones are considerable lighter (you get what you paid for?)?
I am also thinking about AC Schnitzer type III 18' rims. Are they lighter than the BBS ones?
Other than Fiske wheels, is there any other wheel that weights lighter and performs just as well in terms of built quality?

I run BBS RC wheels on the track, they are lightweight and strong.

BMW does offer cross spoke wheels that will fit on a e36 that look just like the 5-series wheels but have the appropriate hub size:
