You have to take the radio out to get the serial number. In order to do that you need to get a hex wrench. I forget the size. But on the face of the radio are two small door-like covers. Pop them open, unscrew the hex-screws, and pull the radio out. Give your dealer the serial number and they call germany from there. But the code should be in your owner's manual with all your documents. check that first, that's what i didn't do. duh
