i have 225/45/17 in front and 245/40/17 in rear. the front never have any problems, but the rears i'm always checking to see if they are alright. i'm in NY and there are a shit load of potholes here, especially after this last winter. the 225/45 should be fine, just watch the road a little more carefully.
