Had similar prob., swapped out sensor cause it read 500ohms like yours but new one bought from dealer read the same. Go figure :). Turns out car wash flooded my ECM compartment (too cold during winter to hand wash). Had to replace. $250. vs. $1,000 at the $tealer.


I tested the resistance as the Bently suggested and only got 503ohms. The Bently says ~1280 +- 10%. Has anyone else had this problem on a M50 TU, 95 325i. The car will not start. Battery and starter are good.
